On its fourth year, The Westminster Latino Festival will take place again at the RTD Westminster Station, a fabulous park that marks the last stop of RTD’s Line B. Event’s activities will start with a special repertoire featuring Latin beats with arrangements of signature pieces from the whole continent by the Denver Municipal Band. Their performance will be followed by folkloric dances from Mexico and other countries, salsa demos, and a variety of live bands featuring salsa, cumbia, R&B and Latin Jazz, amongst others.
Longmont-based Suave Car Club will bring an exhibition of lowriders for everyone’s enjoyment. Children and adults will have the opportunity to watch the “luchadores” perform their stunts. In a second stage will feature karaoke, games and more fun. A variety of food trucks and vendors include delicious Mexican and South American food. A beer garden will be ready with cold beer to tame the fierce late-July heat. This year, local artists will come and create their art during the event in a section called “Color Westminster”. Come ready to have fun at the festival.
