Jose Amaya is the incoming Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Denver. Amaya, a civil engineer from the University of South Alabama, is planning to support all initiatives related to education and training for all Chamber’s members. “Our goal is to provide more opportunities to Latino entrepreneurs. We are also supporting immigration reform, because it will add momentum to our economy,” said Amaya. He previously was the President of the Board of Hispanic Contractors of Colorado, and he has been a member of the Hispanic Chamber since 2009. He is currently the Director of Business Development and Small Business Programs of JE Dunn Construction. He will be sworn in during the “Passing of the Gavel” on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 11am-1pm at Spring Hill Suites at Metro, in Denver.
