Support for Front Range Community College Students

The Clear the Air Foundation has presented $5,000 to Front Range Community College Foundation to fund scholarships for students studying automotive technology. Clear the Air Foundation Director Mark Zeigler said, “These funds will be matched dollar-for-dollar to equal a $10,000 spend, which will be used to provide five Auto Tech students with $2,000 each for 2019 academic year.” The matching grant is from the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative, a Colorado Department of Higher Education program.

Zeigler said students in automotive technology programs are exposed to theory and hands-on experience in the automobile’s major systems. They can earn associate degrees and certificates in programs related to automotive service technology, along with course work in diesel, brakes, electrical, transmission and drive trains, mechanical and light repair, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, steering and suspension.
